Rev.Valson Thampu, Advisory Committee - Head

Shalom Hills International School is guided and advised by a group of eminent educationists, whose contributions in the academic field are well known across the country. This committee is chaired by Rev. Valson Thampu.

Rev. Valson Thampu is Principal of St Stephen's College. He had earlier taught in St. Stephen's College for three decades, and also served as Head, Dept of English and Vice Principal. He is a gifted communicator both through the spoken and the printed word. An original thinker and prolific author, Rev. Thampu has published 11 books, 120 booklets and over 400 newspaper articles, covering a vast array of themes and concerns.

He was among the spiritual leaders invited by the United Nations to attend the first UN Peace Summit of spiritual leaders in New York in 2000. He was invited by the UN to deliver an address on Spirituality and Sustainable Development at the 3rd Precom on Sustainable Development in Bali, Indonesia. His involvement spreads all over the country and to 15 other countries of the world.

Currently he holds the position of Member, National Integration Council. He is, besides, a Member of the National Steering Committee on Curriculum Review, NCERT. He co-authored a series of value education books titled "Living in Harmony" published by the Oxford University Press. He has a special concern for teachers and students especially at the school level and reaches out to them throughout the country.
