ENVELOPE MAKING ACTIVITY

Among paper crafters, making cards is very popular, but how do we make our own envelopes? Not only making envelopes easy to do, but it is inexpensive as well, requires only a few basic supplies. Today children of MII learned the art of making envelopes. They made small and colorful envelopes under the guidance of their teachers. This added to their creativity and imagination. 

      
      

ROLE PLAY OF OUR HELPERS

(28 JANUARY 2010

Helpers are the people who help us in day to day life and make our life comfortable. Today the teachers of class MII dressed up as different helpers and told children about the importance of same through role play. Thus children learned about how essential these people are for our society as a whole and that they should be given good respect. 

 

 

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION (25 JANUARY, 2010)  

26th January 1950 is one of the most important days in Indian history as it was on this day the constitution of India came into force and India became a truly sovereign state. Today, the Republic Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm in S.H.S. The patriotic fervor of the children brought them together. Children came dressed up as President, Prime minister and other National Leaders. The celebration included Flag Hoisting, and speeches by the children. Teachers narrated the stories to make children understand the importance of this day.

      

      

 

 

PASTING OF COTTON ON SNOWMAN

(22 JANUARY, 2010)

Building a Snowman provides an entertaining, creative way to get some fresh air on a lazy winter day. Kids of MII today enjoyed the activity of cotton pasting on a picture of snowman. The activity involved lot of fun, creativity and imagination.

 

 

 

TEARING & PASTING ON A KITE (19 JANUARY, 2010)

To know the importance and meaning of tri-color in our flag, children of class MII did activity of tearing & pasting with papers of saffron, white & green colors on a kite. All the children sat in a circle and started with tearing & pasting in all its hues. Though the shape and size of the kites were uniform for all the classes there were variations in tearing & pasting. There was fun, learning, creativity, imagination and development of motor skills.
