SHS FEBRUARY ACTIVITY HOLI CELEBRATION(26 FEBRUARY, 2010) Children created their own colorful holi caps and exchanged colours among them selves and the teachers. The children were introduced to the festival of holi and the importance of greeting on festive occasions.   
  
PUPPET SHOW(26 FEBRUARY, 2010) A puppet show was organized on a story of two cats fighting over a piece of cake, while a monkey tricks them out of the entire piece. The moral of the story was “Greed leads to heavy loss” was demonstrated through the puppet show.  
GRAND PARENT'S DAY (13 FEBRUARY, 2010) Shalom Hills School celebrated Grand Parents Day on 13th February 2010 with the aim to create memories of a lifetime to cherish through thick and thin. "Grand Parents are our heritage and are essential members of our families and communities.” They are amongst the most wonderful relations in the life of a person. They give unconditional love to their grandchild, which never fades away with the passage of time. We can feel the warmth of Grand Parents when they embrace us. We are able to feel the innate love that is always reflected in their eyes. They are the ones who are responsible for passing Wisdom, Values and Principles from generation to generation to lead youngsters a better life. The day started with the welcoming of the children and grandparents with a portrait of them getting clicked for them to cherish in times to come. As the day progressed the grandparents enjoyed the day with the grandchildren singing the yesteryear songs and participating in varied races and competitions. Later refreshments were served for them to unwind and relax. The day wound up with vote of thanks given to the grandparents for their undeniable support and enthusiasm. The grandparents also extended their gratitude for the school management for their thoughtfulness and involvement in the development of their grandchildren.  
 
CLAY MODELING RELATED TO SEASONS (3 FEBRUARY, 2010)
Fun with modeling clay is a great visual resource for children to experiment, with making things out of clay. Today children of class MII enjoyed making different figures with modeling clay. They did the same, based on different seasons which included figures of Sun, Flowers, Umbrella, Gumboot, Birds etc. This led to the development of creativity & motor skills.  
ROLE PLAY OF OUR HELPERS (3 FEBRUARY 2010) Helpers are the people who help us in day to day life and make our life comfortable. Today the teachers of class MI dressed up as different helpers and told children about the importance of same through role play. Thus children learned about how essential these people are for our society as a whole and that they should be given good respect. Postman had come to deliver letters to MI children.
